Busy Hands, Full Hearts: The Douglas Family Continues Serving Glen Rose

In a world where many people slow down after a long work week, the Douglas family seems to accelerate.

Known throughout the community as the faces behind Tiger’s Party Inflatables, Rick and Jessica Douglas — alongside their son and business partner, Gage Douglas — have become a familiar part of Glen Rose life. Whether it’s a birthday party, school event, football game, or downtown business venture, chances are the Douglas family has had a hand in helping make it happen.

Tiger’s Party Inflatables, a family-owned and operated business, has quickly become more than just bounce houses and slides. Built on community relationships, hard work, and hometown pride, the business reflects the same energy the family pours into nearly every aspect of their lives.

For eight years, Rick and Jessica dedicated countless volunteer hours to the Glen Rose Athletic Booster Club. During their tenure, annual revenue benefiting athletics and other student organizations reportedly grew from roughly $25,000 to nearly $120,000 per year. Many Tiger fans also recognize the pair from Friday nights at Tiger Stadium, where they could often be found helping operate the Tiger Tunnel and sounding off the touchdown train horn after big scores.

Outside of community involvement, both maintain demanding professional careers.

Rick works full-time in the oilfield as a consultant specializing in natural gas operations throughout the Barnett Shale. His work includes overseeing well completions, hydraulic fracturing operations, workovers, and production optimization for gas wells across the region.

Jessica, meanwhile, operates a full-time custom apparel and printing business specializing in screen printing and direct-to-film production. With Rick often assisting in graphic and design work, the operation serves several school districts, local businesses, hospitals, organizations, and individuals throughout the area.

As if that weren’t enough, the couple also helps support and operate their daughter’s downtown Glen Rose boutique, American Honey, adding yet another layer to an already packed schedule.

The entrepreneurial spirit clearly runs in the family.

Their son, Gage Douglas, began charting his own path at just 15 years old when he launched his first LLC featuring his apparel brand, WILLPOWER. Since then, he has built a growing list of detailing clients while also taking on handyman and yard work jobs throughout the community. After graduating in 2026, Gage plans to continue expanding his business ventures, remain active with Tiger’s Party Inflatables, and pursue his real estate license.

Despite the long hours and demanding schedules, the Douglas family has remained deeply connected to Glen Rose and its people. Friends and community members often describe them as the type who continue showing up — even during difficult seasons of life.

And perhaps that is what best defines the Douglas family.

No matter how full the plate becomes, you can still catch them moving forward with their “chin up,” continuing to serve the town they love.
